SUPERDUPLEX UNS S32750. General. Super Duplex Alloy UNS S32750 (F53 / 1.4410 / Alloy 32750 / SAF 2507) has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide variety of media, with outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride containing environments, with Critical Pitting Temperature exceeding 50°C. In order to improve the processes and the use of the duplex stainless steel SAF 2507, its deformation properties has to be investigated and explained. Through EBSD-analysis deformation structures and pole figures have been developed to describe the behavior of the material during deformation. SAF 2507 duplex stainless was welded under autogenous laser and cold wire assisted laser processes. The investigations can be divided into 3 main parts.
